Bio

J. Joaquín Escudero Garzás was born in Ciudad Real, Spain, in 1969. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Telecommunication Engineering in 1997 and 2010, respectively, from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). From 1997 to 2002, he worked for Unión Fenosa and Jazztel as provisioning engineer and in charge of telecommunications network maintenance. In 2002, he joined Universidad Carlos III as assistant lecturer at the Department of Signal Theory and Communications, where he has lectured more than twelve courses related to telecommunication systems and wired and wireless communications, and has participated in several competitive national and European projects. He was a guest researcher at TELE (Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory), Université Catholique de Louvain, from March to August 2008, and he also lectured from 2001 to 2003 at Universidad Alfonso X.

He was a Postdoctoral researcher at the SPCOMNAV group from October 2010 to October 2012.

Research interests

His research interests are plug-in electric vehicles pricing for smart grid, optimization of wireless communication systems and radio resource management.
