MOON-GNSS contract signed with the European Space Agency (ESA)
SPCOMNAV is participating in the MOON-GNSS (Weak GNSS Signal Navigation on the Moon) project funded by the European Space Agency. The objective of the project is to perform a feasibility analysis of using GNSS as the main navigation technology in missions to the Moon. The consortium formed is by GMV Spain and SPCOMNAV. GMV is in charge of the project coordination and of the design of requirements and navigation algorithms hybridizing GNSS with other sensors. SPCOMNAV is charge of the design of the GNSS receiver, and contributes with the design and characterization of advanced techniques for processing extremely weak GNSS signals. The consortium will deliver a simulator capable of reproducing the performance of the navigation receiver when travelling from the Earth to the Moon.
